FISH 
Fish are interesting animals. They live in the water, have fins and a backbone (vertebrate). Most
fish are covered with scales.
Fish are cold blooded which
means their body temperature changes with the environment. Most
fish are born from eggs.
Fish
have a special way of breathing. This allows them to stay under
water. They have gills.
These are slits on the side of a fish's head. Gills take air (oxygen)
from the water.
There are salt-water fish and fresh-water fish. Salt-water fish live in oceans and seas. Fresh-water fish live in rivers and ponds.
Fish eat many things. Some eat bugs and small animals in the water like crawdads and frogs. Others eat plants that grow in the water.
