Dreams + Action = Reality
BEST students participated
in several experiements, built and launched rockets, discussed the history

Night Vision Goggles
The day we had tried
the night vision goggles was the Friday before Graduation. We were doing
all of the rules before we put on the goggles. The rules were very complicated.
For #1-We couldn’t point the front of the goggles in the light, otherwise
we could be blinded, and #2- We couldn’t turn them on without an adult’s
help, otherwise you might accidentally switch something on it which would
be bad for your health. Then we had put on the night vision goggles &
had to pair up in partners. The partner had to follow the person
with the goggles so that we wouldn’t get lost. The other person had
the compass so they couldn’t get lost either. Once we got to the
end, we went in a second time so that the other person could wear the goggles.
Starbase’ basement was pitch black. You couldn’t see anything down there
without the goggles. Even with the goggles on it was pretty spooky. So
after that was done we went on with some other activities, but, that’s
another story.
